6 Gedanken zu “will software

  1. Have used many times over the years. Very easy to use. Had everything I needed to do multiple types of forms. Uses information for the state you live in. Has will and health directives. Very good product.

  2. Great program and well worth the money. You can do as many wills as you like and the trust part outlines everything for you. Walks even a novice through the process of setting up a will or trust in a few easy steps. This is my 3rd quicken wills program I have owned and made wills with. I am now setting up a trust for all of my property to keep things out of probate for the ease of my kids. I have had to update my will throughout the years as others pass away and new ones are born and Quicken has saved me thousands while giving us peace of mind. We have also wasted money on other programs that promise to do the same thing but none are near as good as Quicken in all of the small details that they seem to catch.

  3. For years I had used the simpler predecessor to this product, but it was written for an earlier version of Windows and no longer works. So I tried this new one. It installed easily and does the job. Prepared my new will in a jiffy. And my son did his as well. This one has more reference material and more depth than the previous version, but seems to lack the „save in Word“ capability that would make it even easier to make modest changes.

  4. I was wanting to get my will in order and have heard god things about Quicken WillMaker so I ordered it. After getting the program I installed it and immediately downloaded the updates. The program guides you through the idiosyncrasies of making a will specific for the state you live in. I am very pleased with the program and would recommend it to anyone who is actively looking to write their will.

  5. As usual the software presents an easy way to understand and do wills and other legal documents for yourself and family members. Just answer most of the questions asked by the program and a few clicks of the mouse and you’re done. I gave it 4 stars because we also own the 2014 version of the program and it came with a very in depth book explaining a lot of the terms we really didn’t know a lot about; like probate, power of attorney, wills (of course), health care directives etc. The 2018 version did not have the book and costs more than the 2014 method. Still it fit our needs and we went through the will rather quickly and had 2 witnesses sigh and date the paperwork to make it legal. All the estate planning software is on the disk and can be read on the computer from the disk or on Nolo’s web sight. I would recommend this to someone wanting to do their estate planning themselves, but would recommend going with an attorney if their estate turns out to be too complicated.

  6. The Nolo Trust Agreement that comes with this doesn’t seem to allow you to allocate your estate except proportionally, i.e., if you want to leave your home to one person it doesn’t seem to show you how to do this. You can only list all people you want to be beneficiaries and then allocate a certain percentage of your entire estate to these beneficiaries–they don’t have to be equal. Also, you do the whole thing and then you need a quit claim deed to move any real estate property into the trust. Nolo offers one to you and I filled it out, carefully listing the legal description of my home, and then at the end, before you can print it out, they say that will be another $39.99. I thought maybe this isn’t right and this is included in the package, so I called them but yes it is that much more to just print out this one form. The guy I spoke to at Nolo said „No that isn’t included, but you get as many quit claim forms as you want for a year.“ Like I will be needing any more after I would finish this. $39.99 for a single form! Of course once you have done all the work of filling out your Trust Agreements and Will you don’t have much choice. Nolo plays a little deceptive game to grab some more of your money.
