3 Gedanken zu “about x tandem search engine

  1. These are the first rockets I have purchased as an adult (I had one as a kid…..over 25 years ago), and I love them. This kit was nice for 2 reasons – it came with its own launcher, and there are 2 different levels of rockets to build. The taller „Amazon“ rocket was much easier to build and took me around an hour or so to build (with the help of my 5 year old). The smaller one took a bit longer (plus the time needed to wait for the paint to dry).Being someone who is completely inept at building things, I was able to build these rockets with very little difficulty. The launcher was very easy to set up and use, and after giving my boys a little instruction, they were able to launch them with me standing off in the distance. Of course they had a blast watching these 2 launch but even more fun chasing them down through a corn field once the parachutes deployed. As advertised, the „Crossfire“ goes quite higher than the „Amazon“.After 9 launches of these 2 rockets and 3 other ones that I purchased at the same time, the boys were ready to go kite flying, but they are still well worth the money. Plus it’s a great way for dads to spend time with their kids while building them and finally launching them into orbit!UPDATE: After reading several of the negative reviews (which have nothing to do with the product itself), I thought I’d better add that YOU WILL NEED TO BUY ENGINES AND IGNITERS for these rockets. Also, if you want them to look like the ones photographed, you will need paint as well. Even though the product description seems self explanatory online, I understand that some smartphones aren’t picking up this product description. All that said, still well worth the money even with the extras (which you can also pick up on Amazon for a fraction of the store cost).

  2. Model rocketing, as a hobby, hasn’t changed much in 20 years. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it hasn’t been simplified, like everything else, in the intervening time. The stand and ignition are virtually the same as they were 20 years ago. The „key“ for the ignitor may be the only difference: it comes pre-loaded with a rubber cushion of sorts requiring you to REALLY push down on the key in order for the ignition light to come on. Removing the rubber cushion makes using the key a lot easier, though the contacts are still suffer from poor tolerances. In all, it’s not terrible.I had forgotten how complicated the rocket assembly was. The black rocket is easily constructed in less than one hour provided you have the proper plastic cement (you MUST have the proper plastic cement). The smaller rocket is, however, a considerably longer endeavor. It requires at least five gluing steps that will take 5 minutes of activity and 3+ hours of drying/curing. As an adult, I’m not sure I had quite the patience of my youth for this such endeavor. Then, unless you want to use a rocket with plain wood and cardboard, it also requires painting. So much for my expectation that this was going to be an „all in one“ kit. You can’t even *assemble* ONE rocket without buying some additional materials (i.e., plastic cement).Prepare accordingly. In all, I needed to purchase the following additional items to complete this kit:- plastic cement (not super glue!)- wood glue- red spray paint- white spray paint- a package of wadding- rocket engines of various sizesGood luck!

  3. This is a great set the begin with. It comes with two rockets to build and a launch pad. You will need to purchase the Rocket engines separately. I was a little surprised it didn’t come with some in this kit so it was complete. If it came with the engines I would have given it 5 stars. However that being said my son had a blast building each rocket. The taller black one is easier to assemble and requires less work, the smaller one is a little more involved because you have to build the engine mount and cut the plastic nose cone down to make it into separate parts. I would recommend helping with this part of the assembly. The plastic is very hard and requires a sharp razor knife to be able to cut it and a little one could easily slip and cut themselves.
