  1. This thing is amazing. I used it on our 2015 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. I drilled a 2 1/8″ hole in the black plastic that is next to the driving lights and mounted it there. You would never notice it unless you were looking for it. Nice construction and works perfect with the Kat’s 28500 block heater cord. Like a few other people, I did have to shave the “nub” off of the top of my extension cord for it to fit in the NOCO hole. If the plug would have been flat across the top, there would have been no problem with fitment.

  2. Good materials, does what I need it to. Only problem was that after drilling the two inch hole as instructed, there was almost nothing for the mounting screws to grab onto. I had to angle the screws outward to get it to work.

  3. For starters, this is a well-made product. It is water proof, had a nice-fitting weather plug, and is overall good quality. The pigtail is pretty short, but that wasn’t a problem for my application. I installed it on a Taylor-Dunn cart that lives outside, so I wouldn’t need to keep slamming an extension cord in the door. The only issue I have with this is that it doesn’t fit newer extension cords without a modification. Newer cords have a bump on them that prevents someone from plugging in a 3 prong plug backwards (so the ground pin is hanging out…) In order to use one of these cords, you’ll need to clip off the bump. See my photos for a better understanding of what I’m talking about.
